Throughout this year the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Education and Skills Sector Group has been researching the use of online media in UK Higher and Further Education institutions as a means of enhancing press and media relations. At a conference in May we discussed our findings so far, heard from a panel of journalists about how they use online media, and explored a range of options for enhancing traditional PR activities with online media tools and services.

On 5 November 2009 we will launch our final report. To coincide with this we are hosting a half-day workshop to provide hands-on advice, practical tips and information about tools that you can use to enhance your use of online media to enhance your traditional PR activity and build 'social media news releases'.

Delegates will also receive a series of handouts offering step-by-step instructions for using a selection of social media tools, hints and tips, and lists of useful online resources.

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your place at this workshop at no cost if you do so more than 10 working days before the event. Cancellation made 5-10 working days prior to the event will be charged at 50% of the full cost. Cancellation less than 5 days before the event will be charged at 100% of the cost, though you may transfer your booking to a colleague if you wish.
